Lateral Chat

This guide helps users open and close lateral chats in the chat interface. The lateral chat feature allows users to view multiple conversations side by side, enhancing multitasking and context switching between different chats.
Opening a Lateral Chat#
Navigate to the Chat Section
From the top navigation bar, click the Chat tab to open the chat interface.
On the left panel, you will see the list of all chats under “All Chat.”
Open a Chat in Lateral View
Click on any conversation in the chat list (e.g., a group or individual chat). The selected chat opens in the main middle panel.
Right-click on the chat you want to view alongside your current conversation. From the drop-down menu, click “Open lateral chat.”
The selected chat will open in a new panel on the right side of the screen, allowing side-by-side viewing.
Closing a Lateral Chat
Locate the Lateral Chat Panel
When a lateral chat is open, it appears on the far-right panel of the screen.
Close the Lateral Chat
Option 1: Use the Close (X) Icon
In the top-right corner of the lateral chat panel, click the X icon to close the panel.
Option 2: Right-Click Method
Right-click on the chat that is currently opened in the lateral view from the list.
Click “Close lateral chat” from the drop-down menu to remove it from the side panel.
