Accessing Course Settings

  • Navigate to the Builder: Open the Course Builder for your specific project.

  • Locate Settings: Click on the Settings section within the course navigation panel.

  • View Options: The panel will expand to display two primary categories: AI and Notifications.

INFO: Default Configuration

AI Settings

Generate AI Summaries

  • Enable this toggle to automatically produce a concise summary of every lecture based on the AI-generated transcription.

  • PDF Export: Once generated, the summary is automatically saved as a PDF and attached to the corresponding lesson for learner access.

  • Custom Prompt: Users can provide a Custom Prompt (up to 500 characters) to define specific instructions for the AI’s output style or focus.

AI Lecture Rename

  • Enable this option to allow the AI to automatically update lecture titles.

  • The system analyzes the transcription to generate a title that accurately reflects the actual content discussed during the session.

Notification Settings

Manage how users stay informed regarding course changes. Each notification type can be toggled for Message (internal course chat) or Email (registered user email).

  • Recording and AI Summary Generated:

    • Triggered when a lecture recording and its corresponding AI summary are processed and ready for viewing.

  • Rescheduled Lecture:

    • Triggered whenever a lecture date or time is modified in the builder.

  • Suspended Lecture:

    • Triggered if a lecture is officially marked as suspended or cancelled.

Understanding the AI Summary Prompt

When the system generates a summary, it follows a specific set of instructions to ensure high-quality academic output.

Default Prompt (Standard Behavior)

If no custom instructions are provided, the AI follows a standardized logic:

  • Title: Creates a clear, descriptive lesson title.

  • Introduction: Writes a brief introductory overview.

  • Themes: Identifies and breaks the lecture into Macro Topics.

  • Structure: Explains each theme in professional paragraphs (avoiding simple bullet points).

  • Sources: Includes links to reliable academic sources for further reading.

  • Conclusion: Ends with a summarized closing statement.

Custom Prompt (User-Defined Behavior)

Adding a custom prompt entirely replaces the default logic. This is useful for:

  • Shifting the tone (e.g., from academic to conversational).

  • Adjusting the length of the summary.

  • Focusing on practical "Takeaways" or "Action Items" rather than themes.

NOTE: Core AI Constants Regardless of the prompt used, certain behaviors remain fixed:

  1. The AI always analyzes the full transcription of the lecture.

  2. The summary is produced in the same language as the spoken lecture.

  3. The final output remains structured and machine-readable for platform consistency.
